Intimate Wedding Photography Ideas

In North Georgia, there are so many spaces and ideas to make your wedding intimate. Blue Ridge and Dahlonega have some of the most beautiful and remote, intimate wedding venues. Some of my favorite are:

  • Juliette Chapel

  • Meadows at Mossy Creek

  • Montaluce Winery

  • Willow Falls Resort

The most important aspect of creating an intimate, intentional wedding experience is your schedule and your guest list. While a guest list under 50 guests seem daunting, to create an intimate experience I would recommend a guest list under 50 guests. Think about having to talk to 50 people and share moments with everyone. Think of how long it might take to seat and serve 50 people dinner. While that seems like a smaller number than you think, 50 people is the perfect number to begin with when wanting an intimate wedding.

The most important contributor to how you feel on your wedding day will be your day-of schedule. Having more than enough time to move through the events of your day will allow you to not only take your time in those events, but to share with others and internalize every moment. Here are some wedding event ideas to create an intentional atmosphere on your wedding day.

Have a private vow reading (whether is it back-to-back so you don’t see each other or after a first look).

  • Have a first look.

  • Have a sit-down brunch with your wedding party before you head to the venue/get into hair and makeup.

  • Have you makeup done as soon early as you can. Hair and Makeup can take the longest part of the day and once you get into hair and makeup, you are free to mingle, chat, eat and share memories with your friends and family.

  • Have your wedding party take as many videos and funny interviews throughout the day with their cell phones.

  • Have a Polaroid camera on hand to take extra photos.
